Pose & Play Minis

The weekend welcomed us with sunshine, some rain, and some clouds but we were perfectly content indoors of a local shared community space in Downtown Kent. Thanks to Mesh House WA for hosting us and our families in their beautiful studio complete with rolls of backdrop, fun furnitures, and beautiful red brick wall. It was the perfect setting for what we needed to accomplish that whole weekend!

Without sharing too many photos from our first ever Pose & Play Mini Portrait Session event, here are some of the kids that decided they wanted to play first before posing for their photos. One thing’s for sure, all the toys I brought in were a big hit! Although I prefer the candid style of photography, I’m still looking forward to having our dedicated space to keep the toys at a distance for a while as families take turn getting their portraits taken.

That kids rattan bench I purchased was put to so much use because it was the perfect size for all the littles and even some of the grownups. It made each session look more precious.

Even some fur babies got in on the mini sessions fun like this little fuzzy one that completes their little family!

And I really mean family fur babies joined in on the mini session fun! They did so good that their hoomins got them so much treats.

Bonus Behind-the-Scenes: We ended the weekend with a video production for myself and Laro Tayo with Growing Boy Media! It was a lot of talking for this introvert but we wrapped it up with Samuel saying he got some good stuff to work with and we’re not even done yet. Prepping for this video production took a lot of writing and practicing but as much as I tried to memorize everything I wanted to say, I just had to let things flow naturally and that helped me relax a little. I hope I am able to authentically express the deep necessity of a space like Laro Tayo. Its been a lot of work getting to where we are now but if I needed this, I know an entire community that will use it too! I hope that’s you :)
